An experience that will offer new and exciting challenges for even the most seasoned diver.

Don and his preeminent team, will ensure that you receive the best ice training available. A P.A.D.I. Master Instructor, Don grew up in Wisconsin; he has taught ice diving every winter for more than 20 years. He has personally certified over 2000 people to dive, fifty percent of these were at the advanced and specialty levels. Mr. Ferris is the author of three books about diving in Massachusetts.

This dynamic program gives you hands on training in areas necessary to make your ice diving experiences easy, safe and fun. You’ll learn first hand, proper procedures for hole cutting, line tending, safety procedures, line rigging, equipment adaptions and more...

The course is divided into segments of classroom and outdoor study. Once you’ve completed the lecture portion, the course is highlighted by three ice dives. Divers may choose to dive in either dry or wet suits. Special consideration to equipment adaptations for cold water diving, will be presented. Full equipment is mandatory including an octopus or pony bottle.

As a prerequisite, divers must be able to show proof of an advanced diver certification. Note*It is highly discouraged to use a dry suit under the ice without prior training and experience.
